On Saturday night, 29 November, in Khum Ab district of Jawzjan province, two children aged three and four were brutally killed by unknown assailants.
The attackers first strangled the children with ropes and then stabbed them.
Additionally, a young girl and her mother were seriously injured and transferred to the regional hospital in Balkh, with their condition reported as critical.
The motive and identity of the perpetrators remain unclear, and investigations are ongoing.
The Taliban police command in Jawzjan has confirmed the incident.
