Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has revisited his controversial 2015 remark about late actress Sridevi, insisting he still stands by it.
He said her “thundering thighs” were part of her stardom and asked, “What’s wrong with objectification?” Varma believes if Sridevi had thin legs, she might not have become a star.
He compared this to how height influenced the appeal of Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan.
Varma also emphasized that Sridevi was an angel no one deserved to touch, reflecting his teenage fantasy of her. Sridevi passed away in 2018 due to accidental drowning in her Dubai hotel bathtub.
