Muttaqi expressed regret over the killing of Chinese citizens at the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border and emphasized the Taliban’s full readiness to secure the borders and conduct joint investigations into the incident.
The ministry stated that initial assessments indicate groups aiming to destabilize and sow distrust among regional countries are responsible. The Taliban pledged full cooperation with Tajikistan to identify the perpetrators.
Meanwhile, the Chinese embassy has warned its citizens to leave the border area for their safety, highlighting growing security concerns in the region.
