A conference organized by “Independent Diplomat” and “European Endowment for Democracy” was held in Brussels from December 3 to 5, bringing together Afghan democratic opposition, the Freedom and Resistance Front, women’s representatives, civil society, EU countries, and European officials.

The participants stressed the urgent need for political change in Afghanistan under the Taliban group.

According to South Asia Magazine, the Taliban regime is a growing threat to regional, global, and European security, fueling human rights violations, extremism, and mass migration.

The Taliban’s failure to manage cross-border terrorist groups has increased instability in Afghanistan and beyond.

Organizers called joint actions against Afghanistan’s emerging crises “crucial” for the country’s future, emphasizing such efforts can bring stability and legitimacy to Afghanistan and prevent further escalation of the crisis.
