The Taliban’s security command in Kunduz reported that a 404-type vehicle overturned in Aliabad district, resulting in 2 deaths and 20 injuries. The incident occurred on Sunday, December 7, along the Kunduz-Baghlan highway.

The security spokesperson attributed the accident to driver negligence and said the injured were taken to Kunduz provincial hospital with stable conditions.

Traffic accidents in Afghanistan frequently cause casualties due to poor road conditions and lack of traffic signs.

Similar accidents on Kabul-Jalalabad and Kabul-Kandahar highways have previously resulted in dozens of casualties.
