Several Islamic nations, including Saudi Arabia and Turkey, have condemned the deadly shooting at Bondi Beach explicitly targeting the Jewish community.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese labeled the incident as a horrific act of antisemitism and terror committed on their shores.
Authorities identified the gunman as Naveed Akram, a 24-year-old Pakistani national who was previously monitored for ISIS links.
Police discovered an ISIS flag inside his vehicle following the attack, which also resulted in the death of the shooter’s father.
The suspect remains in critical condition at the hospital under heavy guard. Security officials confirmed that Akram had been on their radar since 2019 due to his connections with a terrorist cell.
