Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesperson for the Taliban, stated that Pakistani forces have launched heavy military attacks on several border districts across Paktia, Paktika, Khost, and Kunar provinces over the past 24 hours, resulting in civilian casualties.
According to the statement, shelling in districts like Dand-e-Patan in Paktia and Barmal in Paktika killed and injured multiple civilians. The strikes have also destroyed dozens of residential homes, shops, and mosques, displacing over 100 families in Khost province alone.
The Taliban’s statement strongly condemned the continuous bombardment, labeling Pakistan’s actions as clear “war crimes.” Officials warned that Afghan border regions remain under severe threat, noting that around 60 heavy artillery shells landed in Kunar, causing massive property damage.
