The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs announced that escalating border clashes between Afghanistan and Pakistan have forced over nine hundred thousand Afghans to flee their homes. These displaced individuals are currently living in difficult conditions across various border provinces.

According to the organization's data, the highest number of displaced people has been recorded in Khost province. Furthermore, thousands of individuals in different districts have been deprived of access to basic humanitarian aid because communication routes are constantly targeted.

These conflicts, which began in late February, have caused severe damage to hospitals, schools, and residential houses. The Taliban government stated that their military operations were conducted in direct response to recent Pakistani airstrikes on Afghan soil.
