The Russian Foreign Ministry announced the delivery of a thousand-ton shipment of vitamin-fortified wheat flour as humanitarian aid to Afghanistan. A handover ceremony for the first batch of these essential supplies was recently held in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif, attended by Russian consulate staff.

This significant contribution is part of Moscow's main commitment to the World Food Programme fund, which is expected to total nearly four thousand tons of food assistance. Russian officials emphasized that the fortified flour will be distributed among vulnerable Afghan families.

In previous years, Russia has consistently provided humanitarian aid, including food and tents, to victims of natural disasters in Afghanistan. Russia maintains active political and commercial relations with the Taliban government.
