A severe traffic accident in Mehtar Lam, the capital of Laghman province, has resulted in one fatality and left five others injured. The incident took place last night in the second security district of the city.
The Taliban government police command in Laghman confirmed that the collision involved a Khawar truck and a rickshaw. The primary cause of the deadly crash was attributed to the reckless driving of the operators, and the injured were quickly transported to the Nangarhar provincial hospital.
Recently, traffic accidents have increased significantly across the country, with citizens blaming ruined roads and lack of traffic signs. Just yesterday, another tragic accident in the Daman district of Kandahar province claimed the lives of six people.
