UNAMA has unveiled the continuation of corporal punishments by the Taliban government in its latest report. Between February 1 and the end of April, 228 individuals, including women, men, and boys, were publicly flogged for various alleged offenses.

These individuals faced summary trials on charges such as running away from home, consuming alcohol, and gambling. These statistics demonstrate a remarkably strict approach to enforcing punishments across different provinces, sparking widespread international outrage and deep concern.

Another section of the comprehensive report highlights the tragic plight of children. Documenting 300 severe violations, including murder, mutilation, and deliberate attacks on schools, proves that innocent children are suffering immensely under the current circumstances.
