Doctors Without Borders (MSF) announced that a female staff member was temporarily detained by the Taliban government in Herat province over dress code violations.
The employee, who worked at the regional hospital in Herat, was released after two days following the signing of a written guarantee to adhere to specific clothing requirements.
Expressing deep concern, MSF warned that increasing restrictions on women severely undermine their access to healthcare and hinder female medical staff.
