The Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Taliban government announced the arrival of a high-level delegation from Kazakhstan in Kabul. Led by Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin, the delegation aims to strengthen economic ties between the two nations.

The primary objective of this visit is to host the joint Afghan-Kazakh trade forum and an exhibition showcasing Kazakh products in the capital. This significant event provides a platform to increase trade volume, attract investments, and support private sectors.

Meanwhile, Afghanistan has effectively lost access to global sea transit routes due to the prolonged closure of major border crossings by Pakistan. Consequently, Afghan merchants now heavily rely on Central Asian countries to import essential goods and food supplies.
