Local authorities in Khost province have announced that at least four people lost their lives in a tragic traffic accident on the Khost-Kabul highway. The fatal incident occurred following a severe collision between a Mazda transport truck and a small passenger rickshaw on the busy road.
According to official reports, one woman and two young children are unfortunately among the victims of this devastating crash. Two other children sustained injuries and were immediately transported to a nearby local hospital for urgent medical treatment and observation.
Statistics indicate a dramatic rise in deadly road accidents across the country in recent weeks. Over the past week alone, approximately twenty-six individuals, including women and children, have died in various traffic incidents across Afghanistan, while dozens more have been severely injured.
