The Rawadari human rights organization stated that recent Pakistani airstrikes on residential areas in Kunar and Paktia provinces clearly violate international humanitarian law. The group emphasized that targeting Afghan civilians and aid workers could definitely be classified as a major war crime.

According to the organization's initial findings the aerial bombardments killed at least twenty eight civilians and injured dozens more. Reports indicate that Pakistani fighter jets attacked civilian homes in two consecutive waves which also targeted locals trying to rescue victims from the rubble.

Rawadari has urged the international community to document these tragic events and hold the perpetrators fully accountable. The Taliban government also confirmed that many women and children were among the casualties caused by these deadly cross border attacks.
