The event officially opened on July 1. During his speech, the Iranian charge d'affaires encouraged businessmen to invest in various sectors across Afghanistan to strengthen bilateral relations.
This visit comes as the World Food Programme noted Iran has become Afghanistan's main trade route after border closures with Pakistan. Most Afghan trade now relies on Iran.
