A tragic traffic accident on the Kabul to Kandahar highway has left one person dead and twenty eight others severely injured. The incident occurred when a passenger bus overturned early in the morning in the Shahjoy district of Zabul province.
Local authorities confirmed the casualties, stating that the injured passengers include eighteen men, six women, and four children. All victims have been immediately transported to the nearest local hospital for urgent medical treatment and care.
Traffic accidents have significantly surged across Afghanistan in recent months. Statistics show that over one hundred people have lost their lives in various road accidents since the beginning of the year, mostly on major highways.
