Local sources report that Arbab Juma Gul Saghari, a prominent tribal elder from the Obe district of Herat province, was killed in an armed attack. The exact motives behind the assassination remain unclear.
The incident occurred around noon on Tuesday as he was returning home from the district center. Attackers targeted him near the local intelligence office of the Taliban government, resulting in his immediate death.
