A Canadian research organization, "Baham Towards Development Network," published findings on the impact of the Taliban's Law on the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice. The study surveyed 770 people in Kabul, Herat, Bamiyan, and Daykundi, 91% of whom were women.

Findings show that 96% of respondents fear leaving home without a male guardian, 68% have lost their jobs, and 92% reported reduced family income. Additionally, 88% of women have been restricted from accessing healthcare services.

The research also found that 59% of respondents reported extreme feelings of hopelessness and loneliness, and 64% had not engaged in any recreational activity in the past year. These statistics paint a stark picture of the deep social and economic crisis caused by Taliban policies.
