The "United Afghan Front" announced today, Saturday, that its forces killed a Taliban intelligence member near "Martyrs Square" in Jalalabad, the capital of Nangarhar province. The front claims the individual was involved in identifying and torturing former military personnel.
A video attributed to the attack, published on the front's X account, shows a person falling to the ground after being shot by a handgun on the side of a road within the city. The incident occurred inside Jalalabad city.
The Taliban government has yet to comment on the incident. Jalalabad has recently witnessed several security incidents, with some claimed by armed groups opposed to the Taliban.
