Two people have been arrested in connection with the killing of Abdullah Hatef, son of veteran Afghan journalist Bashir Hatef, in Kabul. Abdullah's body was found days ago in District 8 of Kabul, and the identities of the detainees have not yet been announced.
Initial investigations suggest Hatef had gone out with friends before his body was discovered. His remains have been sent to forensics to determine the cause of death.
His father, Bashir Hatef, founder of the Journalists' Communication and Training Center, was previously arrested by Taliban intelligence forces and was released from Bagram prison after serving his sentence.
