A court in North Carolina has charged 17-year-old Sara Lindsay as an accomplice in the deadly shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego, California. She was arrested last week and charged Monday.
The attack, which occurred in late April 2026, left three men dead — Amin Abdullah, 51, Mansour Kaziha, 78, and Nader Awad, 57 — who tried to stop the gunmen from entering a class of 140 religious studies students. The two attackers, Caleb Vasquez and Kane Clark, died by suicide while fleeing.
Sara is accused of coordinating with the attackers beforehand, livestreaming the attack, and publishing the attackers' manifesto online. If convicted in North Carolina, she faces a potential life sentence without parole.
