The Taliban governor’s spokesperson in Khost said security forces arrested a man who killed his 22-year-old wife and six-month-old daughter with a Kalashnikov.
The man fled the scene last Thursday night but was later arrested and confessed to the killings.
Similar cases of domestic violence have been reported in the past due to poverty and psychological pressure.
