A medical team from Al Markaz Al Islami Bangladesh has begun free treatment and surgery for about 120 Afghan children with cleft lip and palate at the Afghan Red Crescent Hospital in Kabul.
This marks the fourth time the Bangladeshi medical team has come to Kabul. In the previous three phases, 285 Afghan children were successfully treated, and now 120 more children will receive care.
Officials say the surgeries are being performed at the central hospital of the Afghan Red Crescent Society.
