Zalmay Khalilzad, the former US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation, has welcomed the fifth Imam Abu Hanifa National and International Exhibition in Kabul. He described the event as a positive step towards developing trade and strengthening Afghanistan's economic relations with the region and the world.
The exhibition opened on Wednesday in Kabul, featuring the participation of both domestic and foreign companies. According to organizers, nearly 700 booths have been set up to display various products and services, indicating the private sector's interest in economic activities in the country.
In a message, Mr. Khalilzad stated that such exhibitions can help create new opportunities for Afghan traders and pave the way for more investment in the country. He emphasized that strengthening economic ties is vital for Afghanistan's stability and future.
The Imam Abu Hanifa exhibition will remain open to visitors for seven days. It is expected that during this period, numerous trade agreements will be signed between Afghan and foreign companies, facilitating the export of domestic products to global markets.
Organizers have expressed hope that the exhibition will present a different image of Afghanistan to the world, showing that despite the challenges, economic and business opportunities exist in the country.
This event is being held at a time when Afghanistan's economy has been facing serious difficulties following recent political changes. Economic experts believe that such programs can help stimulate the country's economy and increase optimism among investors and the general public.
