Following the recent firing incident involving actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai, a senior film industry official has stated that providing enhanced security for every single star is not a practical solution.\Ashoke Pandit, the chief advisor of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), made the comments in a recent interview. He acknowledged that the incident initially induced fear within the industry but said the government's swift action gave them relief and confidence.\"Initially there was fear. But the government went all out and nabbed the accused in two days. That has proved how seriously the system took it," Pandit told the Hindustan Times. "This increases our confidence."\The attack, from which Tiger Shroff escaped unharmed, has sent shockwaves through Bollywood. In the aftermath, security has reportedly been tightened outside the homes of other major stars like Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar.\However, Pandit argued that the ultimate solution lies in a strong legal system that deters criminals, rather than personal bodyguards for every celeity. "We are all very nice people in the industry, we are artists and performers, we are not violent people," he added.\Pandit also recounted meeting Tiger's father, veteran actor Jackie Shroff, after the attack. He said Jackie expressed gratitude for the government's "tremendous" reaction, which gave him confidence. "He said ‘God has been kind, everything went off well,’" Pandit shared.\The incident has revived discussions about the security of film stars in India, who have historically been targeted by criminal gangs for extortion.\Source: Hindustan Times🌐
