The Ministry of Education of the students said in a newsletter that contemporary sciences have not been removed from the new educational curriculum of schools, but these sciences have been included in the textbooks according to the “national and Islamic culture of Afghanistan”. According to the Ministry’s newsletter, bringing reforms in the educational curriculum does not mean marginalizing modern sciences from the new educational curriculum. According to this ministry, the new educational curriculum is being changed by including the latest advances in modern sciences in school textbooks. The newsletter added that the latest achievements of contemporary sciences will be used in the content of religious schools’ curriculum. Earlier, Mansour Ahmad Hamzah, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Education, announced the change in the curriculum of schools in Afghanistan.​
