According to Turkish security sources, the coast guard of the country detained over 30 asylum seekers who intended to cross into Greece.
These asylum seekers were traveling towards Greek shores using a plastic boat.
However, before reaching their destination, the Greek coast guard redirected them towards Turkey.
Although Turkish media outlets have not provided information about the nationality of these detained asylum seekers, reports indicate similar cases in the past regarding the detention of Afghan asylum seekers by the Turkish coast guard.

According to the Ministry of Migrants and Repatriates of the Taliban government, this incident occurred in the Chanaq Qala province of Turkey, and so far, 4 individuals have been rescued from the incident.
The ministry has requested Turkish authorities to make necessary efforts to find the missing asylum seekers. No precise information about the timing of this incident has been provided in the statement.
