The United States asked the Taliban to control the border
A day after the Pakistani army clashed with militants on the border with Afghanistan, the US State Department asked the Taliban to take the necessary measures to prevent terrorist groups from using Afghanistan to attack other countries.
The spokesperson of the ministry emphasized that the United States fully supports Pakistan’s efforts in the fight against terrorism and that these efforts must respect human rights and international laws.
The Pakistan Army also asked the Taliban to monitor the borders of Afghanistan more efficiently and prevent the insurgents from using this territory for attacks on Pakistan.
In a security operation in North Waziristan of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan border forces arrested at least 29 insurgents who were trying to cross the border.
According to the Public Relations of the Pakistan Army, these people were killed in a clash with the security forces and no opportunity was provided for them to enter the territory of Pakistan.
They emphasized that the United States judges the Taliban based on their actions, not their words, and emphasized that they have repeatedly asked the Taliban to take meaningful actions against terrorists in Afghanistan.
Although the Taliban denies the presence of foreign terrorist groups in Afghanistan, it has announced that it will not allow any group to attack other countries from Afghanistan.
