Intensified Israeli Attacks on Gaza; Death Toll Surpasses 35,000 with Over 80,000 Injured
According to recent reports, Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip continue to escalate, resulting in a rising number of casualties. A health official in Gaza informed Al Jazeera that 58 people were killed in Gaza in the past day. Additionally, a civil institution told Reuters that at least 20 Palestinians were killed, and dozens were injured in Israeli attacks on a refugee camp in Rafah.The Palestinian Ministry of Health has provided shocking statistics on the casualties resulting from the Israeli attacks. According to the ministry, since the beginning of the Israeli offensive on Gaza, 35,984 people have been killed, and 80,643 have been injured. In the past 24 hours alone, 81 people have lost their lives, and 223 have been wounded.On the other hand, the Israeli military claims to have targeted and destroyed more than 50 military warehouses, weapons, and infrastructure used by Hamas in Gaza. This comes despite the International Court of Justice ordering Israel on Friday to halt military attacks and other actions in Rafah. However, moments after this order, Israeli warplanes carried out extensive airstrikes on the Shboura camp in the center of Rafah city.
