Taliban Cuts Off Salaryof Abdul Hamid Khorasani and His Bodyguards
According to reports from local sources, the Taliban has cut off the salary and privileges of Abdul Hamid Khorasani, the commander of the group’s Badri unit, for the past two months. This action was taken following complaints lodged by the Iranian and Pakistani embassies against Khorasani.
The Pakistani embassy filed a complaint with the Taliban leadership due to Khorasani’s involvement in border clashes in the Dand Patan district of Paktia province. Similarly, the Iranian embassy complained about Khorasani’s criticisms of Iran’s policies.
In the wake of these events, the commander of the Taliban’s Badri unit has deleted some of his critical posts against Iran and Pakistan from the social media platform X. Sources close to Khorasani claim that the Taliban, acting on orders from the Pakistani and Iranian embassies, are plotting to eliminate him and his men.
Abdul Hamid Khorasani, a prominent Tajik member of the Taliban who previously enjoyed the full support of Sirajuddin Haqqani, has played an active role in identifying and arresting hundreds of residents from Panjshir, Kapisa, and Parwan provinces suspected of opposing the Taliban’s rule.
