In a military operation against militants in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, three army personnel lost their lives on Wednesday, October 30. The confrontation took place in the Bannu region, where the Pakistani military targeted members of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

According to Dawn newspaper, the military conducted airstrikes in Bannu, resulting in civilian casualties. The clashes, which began in the middle of the night, involved both light and heavy weapons from both sides. The Pakistani army has emphasized that operations will continue until militants are completely eliminated from the area.

This incident occurs amid recent developments where the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement, during a large tribal gathering, demanded both the army and TTP’s withdrawal from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The movement had warned of taking matters into their own hands if their demands were ignored.
