Pakistani Cleric Links Afghan Girls’ Education to Gaza Conflict
Maulana Fazlur Rahman, leader of Pakistan’s Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, claims the West has no right to discuss human rights and girls’ education in Afghanistan while thousands, including children, are being killed in Gaza.
Regarding girls’ education, he stated, “That’s Afghanistan – let them proceed at their own discretion and recognize the Taliban government.” His remarks have sparked controversy across social media platforms.
The statement comes amid revelations that Rahman’s own granddaughters and daughters of several Taliban leaders are currently pursuing higher education in Pakistani universities, highlighting a stark contrast in educational opportunities.
