Bollywood actors Shahid Kapoor and Fardeen Khan had an intense altercation on the set of their 2004 crime-thriller film “Fida.” The conflict stemmed from intimate scenes between Kareena Kapoor Khan and Fardeen Khan, which reportedly made Shahid uncomfortable as he was dating Kareena at that time. The disagreement almost led to physical confrontation according to industry sources.
Years after the incident, Fardeen Khan addressed the feud in a media interview saying, “Yes, it’s true we aren’t the best of friends. Shahid and I don’t get along. I had heard that he was bitching about me. He is quite immature.” Fardeen clarified that his relationship with Kareena was strictly professional, stating, “I and Kareena are strictly friends. By virtue of our spending time together, the degree of trust and comfort is higher. But there is nothing more to it.”
Shahid Kapoor later responded on the talk show “Koffee With Karan,” saying, “I personally don’t have any issues with him. And if he had any issues, he could have simply called up and spoken about it, but he chose to talk about it in the print.” Although “Fida” failed at the box office, the performances of the lead actors and the film’s soundtrack received positive responses. Shahid and Kareena’s relationship, which began on the film’s set, ended in 2006.
