The Taliban High Commission for Addressing Migrants’ Problems announced on Thursday that 4,950 Afghan migrants have been deported from Pakistan and Iran.

According to this report, 2,214 Afghans from Iran and 2,736 other migrants from Pakistan were returned to Afghanistan on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.

The commission added that the deported migrants entered Afghanistan through the border crossings of Torkham, Spin Boldak, Bahramcha, Angoor Ada, Abresham Bridge, and Islam Qala.

The Taliban also announced that 531 returnees have been transferred from Kabul to the provinces of Paktia, Khost, Laghman, Nangarhar, Baghlan, Kunduz, Takhar, Balkh, Faryab, and Sar-e Pol.

It should be noted that the Taliban commission publishes daily statistics on the deportation of Afghan migrants from neighboring countries.

Yesterday’s report from this commission stated that 3,994 Afghans had been deported from Pakistan and Iran, indicating an increase in the number of deportees on Wednesday.
