Kajol is set to return to the big screen with a never-before-seen avatar in “Maa,” a mythological horror film directed by Vishal Furia.
Produced by her husband Ajay Devgn under the Devgn Films banner, the movie will release in theaters on June 27. During the film’s promotional campaign, Kajol opened up about working professionally with Ajay Devgn, addressing the topic with her characteristic wit and humor.
“What should I say about this producer? He harassed me a lot. No one will believe it,” Kajol joked during a media interaction, bursting into laughter. She quickly added on a serious note, “No. He was quite a wonderful producer. I have to say that about him.” In the same conversation, Kajol shared a personal moment with her husband that highlighted his admiration for her ability to manage various roles as a woman.
Recalling their conversation, Kajol said: “My husband Ajay ji once told me, ‘You are so lucky. You don’t know how lucky you are. You can become Nysa’s friend. You will eventually become a grandmother. You are a mother. You have been my wife. You have managed all of these roles nicely and naturally. You didn’t have to make an effort.'” She continued, “Today, as a man, I have to make an effort to be all of these things. As women, we are taught that from the time we are children. We are so adaptable.”
