Hannah Neumann, a member of the European Parliament, has strongly criticized the mass deportation of Afghans from Iran, describing this action as “hypocrisy” and “an ongoing crime.

” In a note on X, she wrote that the Islamic Republic is currently deporting Afghan refugees to “hell” and that more than 700,000 Afghan migrants have been deported from Iran this year.

According to this politician, the deported refugees in Islam Qala are “barefoot and hungry, raped, and sent directly to Taliban territory.” She emphasized that many of these migrants were born in Iran and some have never seen Afghanistan before.

Ms. Neumann called this action “forced deportation with force and terror” and “illegal.”

This member of the European Parliament has also reported on the unfavorable conditions of Afghans in Iran, saying that despite having valid visas and educational documents, they are dragged from their homes, abandoned at the border, and their documents are torn up.

To help address this situation, she has suggested solutions such as issuing humanitarian visas to Afghans, providing urgent funding to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, and creating safe exit routes from Iran.
