A new study by Ben’s Natural Health has identified protective service workers as having the highest risk for developing type 2 diabetes among all occupational groups.

The research analyzed diabetes prevalence, obesity rates, and sedentary behavior across various professions to determine risk factors.

The findings reveal that 9% of protective service workers have diabetes, with 33.3% facing obesity – the highest rate among all occupations studied.

These workers spend nearly two hours daily in seated positions despite their seemingly active roles.

Law enforcement officers ranked second with 10.5% diabetes prevalence, the highest among all professions examined.

Health experts recommend increasing daily movement, choosing water over sugary drinks, and maintaining quality sleep to prevent workplace diabetes.

The study emphasizes that modern work environments require conscious efforts to combat sedentary lifestyles and poor dietary choices that contribute to diabetes development in the workplace.
