The Bakhtar news agency under Taliban control announced that construction of seven secondary roads with a total length of 1.5 kilometers and width of seven meters in the third and fourth districts of Charikar city, Parwan province, has been completed.
Hafez Raz Mohammad Yaser, Mayor of Charikar said: “These roads along with sidewalks, drainage systems, flower pots and retaining walls have been built at a cost of 21 million Afghanis from the municipality’s internal budget.”
This comes while the Taliban group had destroyed thousands of kilometers of roads and blown up bridges during the past 20 years by creating insecurity. Now the same group claims to be rebuilding infrastructure.
