Residents of Khak Afghan district in Zabol province report that following the suspension of foreign aid, access to healthcare services, particularly those related to women and childbirth, has been eliminated.

Women in this area say they lack access to doctors and midwives, and almost all women’s health and childbirth-related illnesses are treated through traditional methods.
Naziah, a Zabol resident, says that when they suffer from childbirth-related illnesses, they must visit midwives, but the midwives also don’t provide them with medicine.

Halima, another Zabol resident, said that in the past there was a clinic in their area, but now there is no one.

Following the closure of thousands of free healthcare centers in Afghanistan this year, millions have been deprived of access to healthcare services.

These women speak of their need for access to medicines related to women’s diseases, especially childbirth.
