Several Israeli and international media outlets reported that Kazakhstan will join the Abraham Accords for normalizing relations with Israel.
This news emerged after Steve Witkoff, Donald Trump’s special representative, announced he would reveal that a new country has joined the Abraham Accords.
The Abraham Accords are a series of agreements that established diplomatic normalization between Israel and several Arab countries, initially with the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.
This historic agreement was signed in September 2020 at the White House and was named after Prophet Abraham as a common symbol of Abrahamic religions.
If these reports are confirmed, Kazakhstan would become the first Central Asian country to join this agreement.
Previously, countries like Sudan and Morocco have also joined the accords.
