The New York Times reported that tensions between Iran and Israel have reached a stage where many officials and analysts in the region consider a new war inevitable.

The halt of nuclear negotiations, lack of international oversight, and uncertainty about Iran’s nuclear material stockpiles have brought the situation to a dangerous deadlock.

Following the expiration of the 2015 nuclear agreement and the return of severe sanctions, Iran continues building a new enrichment center called “Kooh Kalang” and denies access to international inspectors.

Donald Trump claimed that US attacks destroyed Iran’s enrichment program, but experts express doubt about this claim.

Ali Vaez, Iran project director at the International Crisis Group, said Iran would show a much stronger reaction in case of war, and the country’s missile factories are active around the clock. He added that Israel feels the job is not finished yet, and Iran is also increasing its readiness for the next round.
