Local sources in Panjshir province report that the Taliban have detained a man named Abdul Momin in the Dara district.

The young man, a resident of Abdullah Khel village, was taken into custody on Saturday, December 13, shortly after returning home from Turkey.
Sources confirm that the detainee is a civilian with no affiliation to any group.

This incident follows a concerning pattern, as the Taliban recently detained five former military personnel in Parwan province who had just returned from Iran, moving them to an undisclosed location.

The Panjshir Women’s Movement has strongly condemned this fresh wave of “arbitrary and illegal” arrests of Panjshir residents by the Taliban.

These actions have sparked fear among local communities and those returning to the country regarding their safety and freedom.
