Sources have confirmed that Taliban intelligence forces have detained Shukrullah Hakimi, a senior official at Kabul Medical University.
Hakimi, who served as the General Director of Students, was taken into custody yesterday while he was on his way home from the university.
Originally from the Abshar district of Panjshir province, Hakimi’s whereabouts remain unknown, and no official reason has been provided for his arrest.
The detention of academic and administrative staff without clear charges has sparked growing concern among the university community and civil servants in the capital.
His family has expressed deep worry regarding his safety and health, as they have not been able to contact him since his disappearance.
As of now, Taliban authorities have not issued any statement clarifying the circumstances behind the arrest of the university official.
