Bollywood stars Aamir Khan and R Madhavan have shut down rumors regarding a sequel to their iconic film 3 Idiots.
Despite recent reports suggesting that director Rajkumar Hirani had locked a script for a 2026 release, both actors confirmed they have not been approached for any such project.
R Madhavan candidly labeled the idea of a sequel as “idiotic,” pointing out that the lead trio is much older now.
He questioned where the story would go, stating that while working with Hirani again would be great, revisiting 3 Idiots seems unnecessary and far-fetched at this stage of their careers.
Aamir Khan, however, expressed a fondness for his character “Rancho” and admitted he would love to do a sequel if given the chance, though he reiterated that no discussions have taken place.
The original 2009 blockbuster remains a cult favorite, continuing to spark excitement among fans.
