Actor Rajpal Yadav, who was sent to Tihar Jail in a ₹9 crore debt and cheque bounce case, received interim bail. The Delhi High Court on March 18 said it will not send him to jail for now.
Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma noted that Rajpal was not running away, was present in court, and had made substantial payments to the complainant. The court extended his bail till April 1.
The trouble began in 2010 when Rajpal took a loan of ₹5 crore for his directorial debut. The film's box office failure led to a repayment crisis, and he was convicted in 2018. #RajpalYadav #Bollywood #Delhi #Court
