Taliban government media reported a fatal Pakistani artillery strike in Kunar province. The attack killed one individual and severely injured five others, including children.
The bombardment targeted the Nawapas area. Meanwhile, intense armed clashes between Pakistani border guards and Afghan forces are reportedly continuing without pause.
This violence coincides with ongoing peace negotiations in Urumqi, China. Reports indicate that Pakistan is not currently willing to accept an immediate ceasefire agreement.
