Officials of the Taliban government have sorrowfully reported an increase in casualties from last night's earthquake in the capital. According to preliminary reports, eight individuals lost their lives due to this terrifying natural disaster in the Bagrami district of Kabul.
It is reported that all the unfortunate victims were closely related members of a single family whose home was completely destroyed. The national television broadcasted shocking footage clearly showing local residents desperately pulling lifeless bodies out from under the heavy rubble.
The United States Geological Survey officially reported the earthquake's magnitude as five point eight on the Richter scale. The powerful tremor struck at around eight forty-two at night at a depth of one hundred and eighty-six kilometers below the surface.
