The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) in the Middle East has announced that the American military blockade has entirely halted Iran's maritime trade. This operation has successfully stopped all Iranian sea based exports and imports.
CENTCOM shared images on X showing a US guided missile destroyer patrolling regional waters to support the port blockade. American sailors and marines are actively conducting blockade operations aboard cargo ships in the Arabian Sea to enforce the restrictions.
While Iran has yet to officially respond, President Donald Trump threatened not to extend the ceasefire without an agreement. Meanwhile, Iranian officials previously warned that continuing the naval blockade could lead to the total closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
