The Deputy Prime Minister of Russia has officially announced that officials from the Taliban government have requested Moscow to send medical professors. These experts would travel to Afghanistan specifically to educate and train local university students in medical fields.
Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the Russia-Islamic World forum in Kazan, Alexei Overchuk noted that there is immense interest in Russian medical education within Afghanistan. This formal request was made during recent bilateral communications between the parties.
According to the senior Russian official, other critical topics were also discussed during meetings with representatives of the Taliban government. Potential cooperation in the fuel sector, agricultural development, and foreign investment were among the most prominent points of discussion.
